Method:
- Mix prawns, a pinch of turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp salt and 1 tsp of oil in a thick bottom pot and cook on medium flame for 5 to 7 minutes ( do not add water, prawns releases enough water) and keep it aside
- Take oil in a pan, add cumin, cinnamon, cloves and cardamom and sauté for few seconds
- Now add onions and green chillies and sauté until onions are translucent ( add a pinch of salt at this point, it cooks onions faster)
- Now add ginger garlic paste and sauté till the raw smell goes off
- Now add tomatoes, turmeric powder and salt and cook until tomatoes are mushy and oil separates
- Add the cooked prawns and fry for minute, then finally add red chilli powder and fry on low flame for 3 to 5 minutes. Serve with hot rice or as a side dish with rice and dal.
YUMM!!
