Pomfret Fry

I think this is the most simple with just few basic everyday ingredients yet tastes out of the world fish fry!! I always prefer using non stick pans for this as we end up using very very less oil and come up with healthy delicious fish. My 2 year old Arjun loves this fish and it is also very easy for me to feed him as it comes off the bone easily.

Pav bhaji

I am here with the recipe of India's most famous street food. I cook for my kids and needless to say this is my daughters favourite snack. Only the dishes relished by my kids make it to my blog :)
I served it with the fresh homemade pav buns, the recipe of which I will be blogging soon.

Molten Lava Cake

My first post of this month is this rich dessert. Contrary to the belief this cake is very easy to make. I bake these cakes regularly  obviously  because it tastes yumm and there's not much prior preparation needed as bringing the butter to room temp. This needs to be served hot right out of the oven or else it looses its gooey inside for which it is most loved and also you can prepare this batter well in advance, pour into the ramekins and cling wrap and refrigerate and bake when you are ready for dessert..great when entertaining! This beauty goes to love2bake at spicy treats

Whole wheat almond butter cookies

I Made these whole wheat cookies with sliced almonds. It is so satisfying to bake something with whole wheat flour instead of maida, guilt free baking at its best..well yeah there's butter in it but still ;)..they are eggless too and I love eggless cookie and ice cream recipes for reasons unknown to me :) You can't really distinguish between these and regular APF butter cookies except for the color...they taste delicious. Pound Cake

This cake is  wonderfully rich, moist, buttery with a lovely brown crust. Traditionally this cake is made with a pound of each ingredients:flour, eggs, butter and sugar..hence the name pound cake but that makes one huge cake...as long as the ratio is preserved it is fine to reduce the quantity to make a cake of desired size. So any cake made with a ratio of 1:1:1:1 of flour, sugar, butter, eggs is a pound  cake.
